The Emeril Lagasse family of restaurants in Las Vegas is welcoming a new addition to the lineup: a W.L. Weller private barrel release (Antique 107 Single Barrel Select, distilled by Buffalo Trace). It was personally chosen by the Las Vegas team and will be available exclusively at Delmonico Steakhouse at the Venetian, Table 10 at the Palazzo and Emeril's New Orleans Fish House at the MGM Grand. It can be ordered neat (1.5 oz. pours at $14) or as part of two new cocktails ($15 each). They were created by Delmonico Steakhouse Lead Bartender Lillian Hargrove and both will be available at all three restaurants.
Six Degrees of Separation
This summer cocktail is almost like a combination of a Gold Rush and a Brown Derby. It's a blend of the Weller 107, Domaine de Canton, honey syrup, pink grapefruit juice and lemon juice, served in cocktail glass with a dried ruby red grapefruit chip as garnish. "It's complex in flavor but easily executed," says Hargrove.
Pairs well with:
Double Cut Kurobuta Pork Chop (Delmonico Steakhouse)
Braised Rabbit Sugo (Table 10)
Emeril's Barbecued Shrimp (Emeril's New Orleans Fish House)
South for the Winter
The flavorful drink is perfect for anytime of year, but is especially suited for fall or winter. In true New Orleans style, maple syrup is mixed with both whiskey (Weller 107) and cognac (Camus VS) which along with lemon juice and Grand Marnier, produce a rich smoky flavor that's similar to bacon. "The rim is sugar crystals," adds Hargrove. "They're iridescent gold and falernum flavored."
Paris well with:
Apple Cured Kurobuta Bone-In Bacon (Delmonico Steakhouse)
Harris Ranch Filet Mignon (Table 10)
Pecan Crusted Texas Redfish (Emeril's New Orleans Fish House)
The barrel produced only 156 one-liter bottles and when the bourbon is gone, it's gone for good. Get a taste when VegasGiant puts together an exciting night on the town for you with a stop at Delmonico Steakhouse, Table 10 or Emeril's New Orleans Fish House. Call 702-476-0001 today.
