Photo: Palms/Apex Social ClubThe Palms Casino Resort is in the middle of a $620-million renovation. After being bought by Station Casinos, the property is being reimagined with an eye-catching contemporary image. Some of the changes have already taken shape, offering a few reasons to see what the new version of the Palms is all about.
Scotch 80 Prime
N9NE Steakhouse has closed and Scotch 80 Prime is now open in its place. Under the leadership of Executive Chef Barry Dakake, the venue offers a new take on the classic Las Vegas steakhouse experience. Highlights include certified Kobe beef, a flaming seafood tower and a Scotch collection worth $3 million. Wrap up dinner with a liquid nitrogen spin on Bananas Foster prepared tableside.
Apex Social Club
Incredible scenery is the big draw here. Formerly known as Ghostbar, Apex Social Club has floor-to-ceiling windows, an outdoor patio and spectacular 180-degree views of the Strip from the 55th floor.
The Pearl Theater
This intimate concert venue holds less than 3,000 people, making sure every seat in the house is a good one. It was recently given a makeover, both looking and sounding better than ever.
Just off the casino floor, Camden is modern and stylish cocktail lounge. It's decorated with chic decor, flatscreen televisions and bookshelves. The bartenders are masters of their craft, serving up indulgent cocktails in an engaging social environment.

Incredible artwork is a common theme throughout the new Palms and Unknown is the best example. Centrally located on the casino floor, the lobby bar is immediately identifiable by a massive preserved tiger shark that hangs overhead — divided into three parts in separate tanks. Designed by Damien Hirst, the display is bold, powerful and unconventional.
That's just the beginning. Other new restaurants include the casual Lucky Penny, Send Noodles for Asian and an upcoming Japanese concept by Bobby Flay. A new pool complex is also under construction and is expected to re-open later in the year. However, some of the renovated rooms and suites are already finished and ready to be booked.
