It's not easy to stay fit in Las Vegas. Between casino buffets, fine dining restaurants, beer festivals, cocktail lounges and everything else fun in town, the calories add up quickly. It seems like someone's always ready to pass you a glass of wine or top something with foie gras. But here's the good news — you don't need to sacrifice fun to make the most of a healthy lifestyle. Sin City is full of restaurants that specialize in healthy dining, whether the goal is going vegan, eating clean, or watching your waistline.

The MSG Sphere is the Arena of the Future in Las Vegas

Posted by VEGASGIANT on May 30, 2018 12:21:30 PM

Las Vegas is a place where the hottest entertainment and latest technology come together in new and exciting ways. The Strip is now getting ready to welcome a new venue that can only be considered the arena of the future. Here's what we know about the MSG Sphere Las Vegas.

  • The MSG Sphere, a partnership between the Las Vegas Sands Corporation and the Madison Square Garden Company, will be on the east side of the Strip behind the Venetian and Palazzo — connected to those resorts by 1,100-foot-long pedestrian bridge.
  • The venue will be, as the name suggests, an enormous sphere that's more than 500 feet tall and 360 feet wide with seats for more than 18,000 spectators inside.
  • The exterior of the MSG Sphere will be wrapped in programmable LED screens that can mimic the image of the Earth, reveal what's inside the venue or even appear to be invisible — plus much more. The imagery is only limited to the human imagination.
  • The interior will feature a 170,000-square-foot screen that's the largest and highest-resolution display panel on the planet.
  • The MSG Sphere will include a groundbreaking audio system. By using "beamforming technology," the audience will hear music and other audio projections in crystal-clear quality at a consistent level — no matter where you're sitting in the venue.
  • An interactive floor can vibrate and allows guests to feel enhanced bass during music performances.
  • Each seat will have access to 20 megabits-per-second of online connectivity. This could prove valuable for events that incorporate enhanced interactive technology in the future.
  • In addition to the latest audio and video technology, the senses of smell and touch will also be stimulated, whether it's the feel of a breeze blowing through a forest or the scent of a rose garden.
  • Events are expected to include music performances by headline acts, interactive films, educational seminars and trade conferences — all expected to take full advantage of the advanced technology in the arena.

Work on the MSG Sphere gets underway over the summer with a grand opening targeted for the end of 2020. VegasGiant will keep tabs on the progress as it comes along. For the latest on entertainment in Las Vegas, contact VegasGiant at 702-476-0001.

Hit the Clubs for Memorial Day Weekend in Las Vegas

Posted by VEGASGIANT on May 16, 2018 11:30:00 AM

The weather is heating up and Memorial Day weekend traditionally serves as the kickoff for the summer party season. Sin City will be busy day and night, so expect the top clubs on the Strip to be packed. Check out where to find the best parties throughout the weekend.

Caesars Palace

Omina promises to offer a lineup of big-name DJs all weekend long. Calvin Harris was host his regular Friday night residency (May 25) while Zedd hits the stage on Saturday (May 26). Martin Garrix returns Sunday to perform hits like "Animals" and "Don't Look Down."

MGM Grand

Memorial Day weekend isn't complete without a visit by the pool. Wet Republic will be throwing some of the biggest daytime parties in Vegas with headliners like Tiesto and Armin Van Buuren providing the music.

Jewel will celebrate two years in Las Vegas. On May 26, the nightclub will throw a second anniversary bash with hip-hop star Lil Uzi Vert. Book one of five themed private VIP suites for the occasion.

The Wynn and Encore sister properties always have a loaded lineup at their clubs — and Memorial Day Weekend is no exception. Check out chart-toppers like The Chainsmokers twice (at XS May 25 and Encore Beach Club May 28), Afrojack at Intrigue (May 26) and David Guetta at Encore Beach Club (May 27). However the most fun could be during Nightswim, the late-night pool party hosting Marshmello (May 25), Major Lazer (May 26) and Galantis (May 27) at EBC. Don't forget your bathing suit.

The Cromwell

With incredible views from the rooftop of the Cromwell, Drai's has some of the best scenery in the heart of the Strip. Headliners include hip-hop stars like Future, 2 Chainz and Migos. If you just want to hang out by the pool, stop by on Saturday for Rae Sremmurd (May 26) or Sunday (May 27) when Trey Songz teams up with the Jersey Shore's DJ Pauly D for a poolside party at Drai's Beachclub.

It's never too early to plan an action-packed Memorial Day weekend in Las Vegas. Call VegasGiant at 702-476-0001 for even more suggestions on how to enjoy the holiday at the clubs.
